Owls Add First Cousin to 2019 Class

Kennesaw State Football has gotten a commitment from Mt. Zion High School Athlete Iaan Cousin (2019). He will be a slotback at KSU.

Cousin: “I chose Kennesaw because it felt like home. When I took my visit it was like no other. I guess you can say I felt like I was meant to be there. Every coach on the staff made me feel needed instead of wanted. Most importantly I chose KSU because I feel I can help the team win championships!”

Recruit Georgia: “Iaan had 778 yards receiving and 9 touchdowns on just 40 receptions last year. He was All-State honorable mention on my website on a state semi finalist team. He was the big play threat for run heavy team. I like the ball skills he shows going up for the football. Cousin has above average acceleration, and can create space in a just a few short strides. He can really time his jumps, but what also like about Cousin is the toughness he shows after the catch. The 2019 recruit takes a few big hits but corrals the ball more times than not. Breakaway speed has improved, and you are seeing longer plays this year while he’s at QB. At around 160 pounds, he can certainly improve that too. Cousin has some of the best hands we have seen for the class of 2019, and should get solid D1 interest.”
