Owls Offer Highly Recruited Small Forward

Kennesaw State Basketball has offered SF Souleymane Koureissi (2018).

From itsovertime.com: “He can play every position on the floor on both ends, and on offense he is an instant match-up issue, handles the pill and the pressure, sees over the defense and can dish the rock like a guard. His midrange game is on fleek, and he’s a serious perimeter threat, which includes range beyond the arc. He can also work from the block, with the footwork of a more seasoned player. Like old-school players he also uses the glass, can finish with both hands and — unlike a lot of bigs — he has feather-soft touch.

He’s a solid offensive rebounder and has the smarts to consistently run offensive sets. Unlike a lot of the hyped recruits dominating at the high school level, he rarely takes bad shots. The kid also has tremendous poise, and I predict that before it’s over, the majors will come calling.

Defensively, he has shown he can defend all five positions. With some core strength development, he can become that special guy on the defensive end because he has — at minimum — a 7-5 wingspan and uses his overwhelming length well.

The special ingredient?

When Koureissi rebounds, or blocks a shot, he can start the break. His basketball IQ allows him to make the correct pass to teammates filling the wings.

He has to work on his explosion and his overall athletic ability, but you might see this kid playing on the next level one day.”
