QB Commits Following Official Visit

Kennesaw State Football has gotten a commitment from Cherokee HS (NC) QB Tye Mintz (2018).

Mintz was previously committed to Big South rival Gardner-Webb, but luckily for KSU, the coach that was recruiting him left. He runs a 4.6 40, and played both ways in high school, leading his school to the 2017 NCHSAA State Championship. He finished his senior year with 2,040 passing yards and 18 touchdowns in addition to 1,704 rushing yards and 33 touchdowns.
