Owls Add Transfer from Tennessee

This is an interesting one right here. Kennesaw State has gotten a 2018 commitment from Andrew Butcher.

Butcher is an interesting story. He was a big time recruit out of high school at Alpharetta and signed with Tennessee but never played in a game. He even had an offer from Alabama according to Rivals. Long story short, Butcher had 4 surgeries, including two major ones on the same knee and retired medically in early 2017.

I just spoke to Andrew and he assures me he is at 100%. He tells me he chose KSU over Georgia State, Samford, Furman & Eastern Kentucky because he likes the environment, culture and connections with the players. He mentioned he played HS with Big Z #90 and likes that KSU is close to home.

Butcher has 2 years left to play and he will join the Owls in the summer. There is also a chance that he gets a third year due to a medical waiver.
