Tell the Owls fans about yourself

My name is Lamonte Turner, I’m 6’2”, I’m a sophomore and I go to Sparkman High School in Alabama. I play AAU with the Georgia Stars.

What are you looking forward to most about the upcoming season?

I look forward to leading my team to a state championship and getting better every day as a player.

What can you take from your freshman year to make yourself better on the court?

I can be more aggressive on the court, talk more on defense and be more of a leader.

What are your strengths and weaknesses?

My strengths would have to be ball handling, shooting and court vision. My weaknesses would be strength, speed, agility and quickness.

What drives you to improve on the court?

Probably my mom, she’s always been there for me. Also my little brother.

Which schools have offered you so far?

Jacksonville, Mercer and Georgia.

How does it feel to be recruited by some of the top schools in the nation?

I always try to keep a level head and stay humble, my mom’s always telling me that.

I know things change overnight but do you have any early favorites?

I can’t say. I don’t think I do yet.

How much interest has Kennesaw State shown so far? Would you consider KSU if they were to offer?

They’ve shown a lot of interest and I’m real cool with the coaches. I would consider playing for them if I was offered.

What do you like to do off the court?

I like to hang out with my friends, spend time with my family, go to the movies. Stuff like that.

Thank you for your time Lamonte

I appreciate it.
