Baseball Lands Another from Grayson

Kennesaw State got a commitment from Grayson RHP Bradley Blalock (2019) just one day after getting a commitment from his teammate Riley Bishop.

Blalock is a 2 way player who will likely be pitching for KSU. He’s a hard thrower with solid command. He’s a kid who we might look at as a future Friday night starter.

I asked Blalock why he chose KSU: “I chose KSU because I feel like the coaches will help me get to the next level. Everything I hear about the coaches is amazing, from parents that have players there at KSU to coaches I have had. I really enjoyed the atmosphere. KSU is also a good school academically and the coaches will push me to get a degree, and if baseball doesn’t work out it will help me get into the business world. I am honored to be an Owl. GO OWLS.”

From Perfect Game 8/14/17:  Bradley Blalock is a 2019 3B/RHP/MIF with a 6-2 176 lb. frame from Lawrenceville, GA who attends Grayson HS. Long and lean athletic build, high waist with broad shoulders, lots of room to get stronger. Right handed hitter, late pull back load leaves him behind in his timing occasionally, rotational upper body swing, stays short and direct with his hands, mid field line drive approach, high contact swing. 6.80 runner at the PG Sunshine Southeast Showcase, has good bounce to his infield actions, moves well laterally and plays on his toes, has good arm strength and carry across the diamond, shows the same type of tools and athleticism in the outfield. Also pitched, loose arm with good extension out front. Mid-80’s fastball, mostly straight, has been up to 90 mph earlier this summer, still developing feel for his secondary pitches. Young athlete who should keep improving, Good student.
